GO DEEPER
Depth changes diving
Going deeper isn't just about continuing a few meters lower. Gas consumption, planning, available time and several dive parameters change with depth. SSI Deep Diving teaches you to gradually approach these dives with the right knowledge, planning and techniques.
Plan a deep dive
Learn how to prepare the planned depth, time, gas reserve, dive profile and conditions, then clearly share the plan and communications with your buddy.
Understanding the effects of depth
Consumption increases and no-decompression limits may decrease. The training addresses the effects of pressure and the importance of remaining attentive to your environment and your condition.
Stay in control
Work on your buoyancy, your position, your ascent speed, monitoring your instruments and communicating with your buddy.

Each dive builds on the next. Reaching the upper limit of a range is never automatic: progression depends on comfort, conditions, applicable standards and the instructor's decision.

Up to 40m
A progression, never a guaranteed depth
The SSI Deep Diving specialty prepares the diver to perform deep dives within the limits of their training, up to 40 meters when conditions, experience and applicable standards allow.
A training limit
Forty meters represents the maximum training depth for the specialty, and not a guaranteed goal for each dive.
A progressive decision
The actual depth depends on your progress, comfort, conditions, applicable standards and the instructor's decision.
A recreational specialty
SSI Deep Diving remains recreational diving training. It does not provide training in planned decompression, technical mixtures, trimix, Extended Range, or exceeding SSI recreational limits.
This training does not constitute a technical diving qualification and does not sell any violation of recreational limits.

Your instructor is dedicated only to your reservation and your training is not mixed with outside clients.

The three dives and the associated knowledge are framed as a continuation of your training.

3 training dives
The three dives and their educational progression are part of the SSI Deep Diving program.
Dedicated booking instructor
Your instructor only accompanies the participants of your reservation during the training.
Appropriate equipment
The equipment used must be adapted to the training and local conditions. The inclusion of specific equipment, computer or configuration is not announced until confirmed.
Price, e-learning, certification fees, equipment, computer, meals, transportation and taxes are not advertised as included due to lack of specific confirmation from SSI Deep Diving.

Adventure Dive Deep or Specialty Deep Diving?
The Adventure Dive Deep is a first supervised experience allowing you to discover deep diving. SSI Deep Diving is the complete specialty, with three training dives, structured progression, academic content and SSI Deep Diving certification after validation of requirements.

A supervised discovery experience. It does not in itself replace the complete specialty.
SSI Deep Diving
Training dedicated to deep diving with three progressive dives and specific certification subject to meeting the requirements.
What if you prepare your Advanced Open Water Diver?
The Advanced Open Water Diver develops your experience in several areas, including Deep Diving. The SSI Deep Diving specialty focuses specifically on deep diving and is not automatically included as a full certification in Advanced.

What level do you need to pass SSI Deep Diving?
You must be an Open Water Diver or have an equivalent recognized certification for the SSI Deep Diving certification to be issued.

Will I necessarily dive to 40 meters?

The Adventure Dive Deep is a supervised discovery experience. SSI Deep Diving is the complete specialty with three progressive dives, academic content and certification after validation of requirements.
What is the difference with Advanced Open Water Diver?
Advanced Open Water Diver develops experience in several areas. SSI Deep Diving focuses specifically on deep diving and is a separate comprehensive specialty.
Is the course private?
Yes. Your instructor is dedicated to your reservation and your reservation is not mixed with outside customers.
