Try Scuba is designed for anyone who wants to discover scuba diving without immediately committing to a full Open Water course. You begin by getting to know the equipment, breathing underwater and finding your bearings with your instructor before discovering Tulamben’s underwater world.

Step 1 · Briefing
Understand the basics before getting in the water
Your instructor explains how the equipment works, underwater breathing, basic communication, behaviour in the water and essential safety rules.
Step 2 · Pool
Your first breaths underwater
The on-site pool lets you calmly discover breathing through a regulator and the sensations of diving before your open-water experience. You progress at your own pace.
Step 3 · Open water
Then comes your first real dive
Once you feel comfortable and conditions allow, your instructor accompanies you for your first open-water experience in Tulamben.
The maximum depth is 12 m. The depth actually reached depends on your comfort, conditions and the instructor’s decision. Reaching 12 m is never guaranteed.

What is the minimum age?
The SSI Try Scuba pool programme can begin from age 8. For the Scuba Tribe experience including an open-water dive, the minimum age is 10 in accordance with the SSI requirements applicable to this part of the programme.

Yes. No previous diving certification is required.
What is the minimum age?
For the Scuba Tribe experience including the open-water dive, the minimum age is 10. The SSI Try Scuba programme limited to the pool can begin from age 8.
Do I need to know how to dive?
No. This experience is specifically intended for beginners.
How deep will I go?
Up to a maximum of 12 m for the open-water part, depending on your comfort, conditions and the instructor’s decision.
Will I definitely go to 12 m?
No. Depth is adapted to your comfort, conditions and the instructor’s decision.
Will I become a certified diver?
