The objective is not simply to go deeper. The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver expands your experience across five different diving environments or areas. At Scuba Tribe Bali, your training is organized around your reservation and what you want to improve.
Your instructor, your training
Your instructor is dedicated to your reservation. Your training is not mixed with other clients and the program can be organized around your experience and goals.
A truly customizable program
Deep Diving and Navigation form the basis of the program. The other three experiences are chosen with your instructor according to your desires, your experience, the standards and the conditions.

5 dives to discover 5 areas of specialty
The program includes a training dive in five different areas: Deep Diving and Navigation are mandatory, then three other experiences are chosen according to your project and the possibilities of the program.
MANDATORY
Deep Diving
Gradually discover the particularities of deeper diving under the direct supervision of your instructor. The adult program limit is 30 m; for students aged 12 to 14, Deep diving is limited to 21 m.
Actual depth is never an automatic goal: it depends on age, experience, progression, standards, conditions and the decision of the instructor.
MANDATORY
Navigation
Develop your ability to find your way underwater by working on compass navigation and using natural landmarks.
CHOOSE 1
First personalized experience
Chosen with your instructor according to your objectives, your qualifications and local possibilities.
CHOICE 2
Second personalized experience
A new opportunity to progress in a different environment or field.

Third personalized experience
It completes your program of five areas and can open the way to a full specialty according to the applicable SSI rules.
The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver is distinct from the SSI Advanced Specialty Diver route.

Wreck Diving
Discover wreck diving and improve your observation, positioning and understanding of this environment. This experience alone does not authorize the penetration of closed spaces.
Perfect Buoyancy
Refine your buoyancy control, positioning and efficiency in the water: useful for protecting the reef, photographing and progressing to more technical dives.
Night & Limited Visibility
Discover another way to dive when the light and landmarks change, if the organization and conditions allow it.
Photo & Video
Learn the basics to be more efficient and more stable when you want to take underwater images.
Enriched Air Nitrox
Option only possible if it is compatible with the program, the applicable SSI conditions and the certifications already held. A single Advanced dive does not provide free access to Nitrox.
Search & Recovery
A potential area to discover another side of planning and diving, depending on the program available.
Waves, Tides & Currents
A potential experience when the site, conditions and applicable standards are suitable.
Other areas SSI may be possible depending on your profile and the organization. The salt pool, designed for diving with an area of up to 3 m, remains an infrastructure available on site if an activity conforming to standards requires it; the five Advanced dives are natural environment dives.
PRIVATE TRAINING
Your reservation, your instructor
At Scuba Tribe Bali, we do not constitute your training by mixing your reservation with external clients. Your instructor accompanies your reservation and adapts the organization of the program to your objectives and your progress.
Your own training group
Are you coming alone, as a couple, with your family or with your own group? Your reservation remains your training group.
No program on the channel
10 to 15 hours recommended
This duration SSI is a recommendation. The actual organization depends on the dives chosen, the diver's profile and the conditions; we favor progression rather than an artificially rigid schedule.
A tailored program
The pace and choice of experiences are built around your reservation, without promising a fixed duration in days.
One instructor is dedicated to one reservation, not one instructor to each diver.

5 DIVES, SEVERAL ENVIRONMENTS
Tulamben, an ideal terrain for progress
The sites are selected according to the diver, their age, their experience, the training chosen, the authorized depth and the conditions. No specific location is guaranteed.
USAT Liberty
A wreck environment relevant for observation, navigation and outdoor exploration, possibly at night if the program and conditions permit. An external visit is not penetration.
Drop Off
An interesting drop-off environment for depth, navigation, buoyancy and experience in different terrain.
Coral Garden
An interesting site for Perfect Buoyancy navigation and positioning control.
Seraya
Particularly relevant for Photo & Video, macro observation and positioning work.
Kubu / Boga Wreck
A possible wreck environment for divers adapted to the profile of the site. The wreck starts deeper and is never promised to all Advanced students.

PTRD Advanced

The historical rate of 5,200,000 IDR, the six dives and the terms PTRD have not been confirmed in local versioned sources. No SSI standard is applied to them.

Prepare your SSI Advanced Open Water in Bali
What level do you need to start the Advanced Open Water SSI?
You must be Open Water Diver SSI certified or have a recognized equivalent certification.
How old do you have to be?
The minimum age for SSI Advanced Open Water Diver is 12 years old. Specific depth limits apply to divers 12 to 14 years old.
How many dives does the training include?
The program includes five training dives in five different specialty areas. Deep Diving and Navigation are required, then three other areas are chosen with your instructor.
Will I necessarily dive to 30 meters?
No. 30 meters represents the maximum training depth of the program for divers to whom this limit applies. Actual depth depends on your age, experience, progress, site and conditions.
Can I choose my other three dives?
Yes. The final choice depends on the SSI possibilities, your qualification, equipment, instructor and conditions.
Is this a private lesson?
Yes. Your reservation has its own dedicated instructor and is not mixed with external clients. You can come alone, as a couple, as a family or with your own group.
How long does the SSI Advanced Open Water last?
SSI recommends approximately 10-15 hours of training. The actual organization depends in particular on the areas chosen, your progress and the conditions.
Can I take my Advanced with PADI or PTRD at Scuba Tribe?
Yes. Scuba Tribe Bali also offers Advanced training with PADI or PTRD. Standards, number of dives, certification fees and certain terms may be different from the SSI offer.
Can I do a wreck dive during my Advanced?
An Wreck Diving experience may be possible when the program, site and conditions permit. This experience alone does not constitute a qualification to enter the enclosed spaces of a wreck.
Can I stay directly at the center during my training?
Yes. Scuba Tribe Bali offers accommodation, a restaurant and a swimming pool on site. Contact us to organize your stay around your training.
Do I need to bring my own equipment or dive computer?
No. Full equipment required for training is included, including a technical dive computer. If you have your own equipment and wish to use it during the training, you can discuss this with your instructor, who must first validate its use.
