Scuba Tribe Bali dive-resort is based in the village of Tulamben. We provide diving services as well as accommodation. Our experienced staff is focused on giving you the best underwater experience within the safest standards that you are looking for.
Our vision is to give our guests the best service with a smile. Our dives are customized without a fixed schedule, with a private guide or instructor (doesn’t matter if you are a solo traveller or come as a small group).

The famous USAT Liberty shipwreck is our housereef as we are directly in front of the entry with just a 3 minutes walk.
Great dive school, very friendly staff. I felt very comfortable doing my open water diving certification here and would recommend it to everyone. Prices are also very reasonable 😄
Great stop for Diving! Sven the instructor and Esa the dive master were excellent! Private dives they can dive when works best for you not subcontracted 3rd party. The room was basic yet very clean. Pool was also very nice even had an additional uv to ensure cleanliness. The breakfast and all the meals were made to order fresh and tasty. All the staff were very friendly! It was An excellent place to spend the new year even got to see the parade right in front of the dive center. Thank you and see you next time!
Phenomenal! The team here are by far the best thing about my trip to Indonesia.The internet is excellent too - very high speed and my footage uploaded to the cloud so quickly.Rooms are clean and comfortable.The pool is so lovely!!! You'd think I'd want to dry out between dives - nope. The pool was amazing between dives and they provide pool towels - so you don't need to sacrifice your bath towel.The hot chips/french fries are frigging incredible!!!!! I'm embarassed (but also happy to report) that I had 1 serve everyday for lunch because they were the best chips I've ever had. So crispy but so soft inside. Yum!Highly recommend this place. I stayed for 7 days and honestly, it gets better the longer you stay as you get to know the team and you become part of the scuba tribeAnd of course, the macro in tulamben was phenomenal. The dive team do personal dives so just you and a dive master. So everything is personally curated and you can tweak the schedule to suit your timeline and go to different sites. Highly recommend this resort and dive centre. I had mentioned I wanted to work on my back kick technique and both my dive masters are also dive instructors and during safety stops we worked on my technique and dive skills. I'm so thankful!! It really was such a great experience staying here and diving with them.If there is a specific type of diving you like, eg macro/night/wreck or practice of trim/buoyancy etc I'd suggest emailing or messaging the team and they will match you with a dive master that suits thisThe other guests who stay here are typically lovely and everybody gets around the social, family, friends feeling. I stayed here through Nyepi and attended the ogoh ogoh festivities with the team and had an outstanding experience.
As an experienced diver that has worked and stayed at many high end resorts, I was very impressed with what SCUBA Tribe had to offer.The rooms were clean, the bed very comfortable. The wifi was strong throughout the resort.I opted for a private room. They also have budget dorm rooms.The on-site restaurant was good. Very clean and everything was made from scratch. The Spring Rolls and Chicken Club Sandwich were both delicious!There were many other eateries very close by but I ate most of my meals here. After a day of diving it was nice to relax by the pool, enjoy a cold beer and not have to walk very far after dinner!Of course the main reason to stay there is the SCUBA diving. With one-on-one guides it's hard to beat. It is mostly macro-rubble/muck diving,except for the Liberty Wreck, so be prepared for that.My guide Mang, was excellent! Talk about Eagle Eyes!Sven, the head Instructor has tons of experience and is very knowledgeable. If I ever decide to do a tech class I know who I will be doing it with.They were all safe, professional and eager to help.I'm already planning another trip to SCUBA Tribe!
We were so impressed with the hostel, facilities and the diving trip! The ship wreck was incredible and it was amazing to see all the different fish!
Brand new pool, renovated rooms, new restaurant. Every thing was perfect
The accomodation is so nice, also the restaurant and the pool and the location is perfect mostly if you want to dive (It is in front of USAT Liberty!) The staff is so kind and they also helped US with tours and taxi service to move around (Amed, temples, waterfall, etc). Regarding scuba diving, I recommend It also, our instructor was Theo and he explainned everything we needed to know and guide us through the wreck and other beautiful dive sites.
My experience with scuba tribe Bali has been exceptional. I have taken the open water diving course with Theo and I have felt super safe and confident. He explained to me technically what we were going to do in each investment, and he was very patient taking into account the difference in languages. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always attentive to your needs. The school is very close to USAT Liberty so you can walk. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and goods lockers. It has a swimming pool and restaurant. Thanks you for everything 🫶
The dive resort is quite comfortable, it's just a bit noisy from the main road. I wear earplugs. There is a restaurant and swimming pool. Beside the resort there are food stalls which are cheap and delicious compared to the other restaurants. The resort is also very close to the US Liberty wreck. Just walk to the sea. There is no white sand, only rocks which are enough to make your feet hurt, so you have to wear sandals. January visibility is very bad. You can walk or jog up the hill in the morning. It's beautiful to see the view from the hill.
One of the best places ive stayed. Spotless, friendly and professional dive instructors, staff are super friendly and the food is top notch. Highly recommend for anybody looking for a place to learn/ fun dive or even if it’s only for a place to chill.
I spent my open water Ssi with Théo, go ahead with your eyes closedthe value for money is really interesting!!the rooms are coolgo for it!!
Really nice diving with the well experienced guides. Dive sites are close to the resort, with the USAT liberty at walking distance.Facility is nice with a good pool, comfortable beds and nice food.
Very nice location right by the beach. Did two dives: one in the USAT wreck and another on the reef. Both beautiful with lots of animals even with medium visibility. Even saw a large turtle. The service was also amazing. Not intrusive and very helpful and kind. The room/villa was very spacious and comfortable. Only problem was in the bathroom the water from the shower would pool by the toilet instead of going down the drain. However, it would be cleaned in the morning so it was not a big issue.
We arrived during the rainy season, so didn't dive the wreck due to poor visibility. Not much in the area, but we hired a scooter and visited Les waterfall about an hour away.The staff were absolutely lovely, so very kind and helpful.We had a room at the lower end of the gardens, very peaceful, the gardens are well maintained.It was the rainy season, the back wall in our room was damp and bubbling.There was a mosquito net on the bed. The room was clean.Very good value for diving.Breakfast was good.Luna across the road served excellent dinners.
We enjoyed our diving experience after a hiatus of 6 years. Wreck, walls, coral gardens, reefs. Plenty of choice for all levels . The USAT Liberty wreck is right behind the resort and is home to beautiful reef life. Our dives all started/ends on the beach. But there are farther sites to be reached by boat. The dive crew is very gentle and helpful. They politely help you better your diving techniques when necessary. The dive price includes gears (except dive computer) and is very reasonable.We stayed in a clean, spacious, very well priced family room, which fit 3 adults easily. The staff is very helpful, honest, super friendly and not intrusive with questions. Tasty simple meals from breakfast to dinner are available from the resort’s restaurant by the pool.Thank you Theo, Komang, Gede, Nengah, Andrea and co for making our holiday enjoyable.
We had a very amazing stay at Scuba Tribe Bali. The package was super affordable as it included dive, stay, breakfast, and lunch. The best part of the dive resort was definitely the hospitable staff.For the dive, we had Mang as our dive master for 3 days. He was very flexible and allowed us to spread our 6 dives across 3 days. During the dive, he watched for our safety and showed us a lot of interesting sea creatures that were quite hard to notice for the less experienced. He was also very comfortable and fun to be around and spoke very good English.The room was very big and decent even though there were quite a bit of insects, which was inevitable, and we got used to it pretty fast.The nasi goreng ayam was incredible (included in both breakfast and lunch) and we didn't get sick of it at all after eating it for 3 days straight. Their continental breakfast is pretty good too.Lastly, there's a cat called Kitty who's very affectionate and cute. Meows a lot and loves to play chase but needs her beauty sleep in the day.Would highly recommend choosing scuba tribe bali for diving! Tulamben is also a super quiet and chill place.
What can I say... The diver instructors, the manager, the boss, the staff, my guide ❤️ (ESA) everyone was SO soooo nice.The packages are insanely affordable and the rooms (dorm for me) are so very clean (Best I've seen in indo). They clean everything everyday.The dives are really good too !There's really nothing bad to say about it, just that I had to leave too early for my liking. Thanks guys for everything, if I ever come back to Bali, I will for SURE come back to see you.
Very great experience with Scuba Tribe Bali. The rooms are huge, clean, and comfy with hot water a plenty. I went for my advanced diver and did 6 dives over 2 days with Mang. He is a solid instructor and very easy to work with.Everything was fun, exciting, and safe.This place is such a wonderful little place. It wasn't busy so the onsite restaurant is basically whatever you order, made fresh. Super amazing staff, amazing cats. Amazing experience.I can't say enough positives about it!Totally worth it!Will 1000% be back.
I really enjoyed this place, the owners and its people. This was my first time learning to Scuba - I got my Open Water Diving Certification. The instruction was clear, relaxed and personal. The dive sites were just in the backyard, so close to the Liberty for Scuba and also just great snorkeling. It really more than met all of my needs. I would have booked a longer stay.
Very good place to dive with complete peace of mind, the guides are very professional, in few places I have seen a personal guide for each group, even if the group is just one person, totally safe and without any rush to get out of the water, many different dives, The Liberty is 50m from the resort, which by the way is very good, good rooms, pool and restaurant and lastly the price of everything is very reasonable, I would definitely return without hesitation.
We have had an amazing stay at Scuba Tribe Bali. We stayed at the resort for a little over a week to do some fun dives and to get my advanced open water.Location is amazing as it is only a two minute walk to the beach from where you start your dive on the US Liberty wreck. Many other dive sites are within a 10 minute drive. The guides are amazing at their job and clearly enjoy what they are doing.We stayed in the dorm for most of our stay. It was very clean and has nice big beds. The staff is very friendly, and will help you with everything you need. Our last night we stayed in the standard room, which was spacious and clean.The place has a fun and easygoing vibe and we can’t wait to go back some day.

I had my very first diving experience with Gede and Mang. Everything went really well! Lots of explanations at the start which allowed me to reassure myself and then in the sea they take the necessary time so that we can observe everything! It was a magical experience. They were lovely to us, we had an incredible time! I hope to repeat the experience soon!! In addition, it is a preferred location because it is local. Many thanks!!!!
This was such an incredible experience ! I couldn’t recommend Scuba Tribe enough. I felt so sad with the instructors. It was my first time diving , we dived through the liberty ship wrecks and the drop off and I got to swim with a turtle!!! It was just incredible. Out of this world. Will be going back in December to get my license 🥹 the staff were so kind and fun! It feels like your a part of a big family ❤️
Love the whole team at Scuba Tribe, amazing location if you want to dive the Liberty Wreck. All dives are custom tailored to you so you get a perfect experience. The resort itself is lovely and so budget friendly. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
We had a lovely week with the Scuba tribe team. The room was fantastic, with air con and a really comfy bed. The breakfast was great every morning before diving, alongside food and drinks throughout the day if you wanted. The diving was amazing, the team were very professional and made sure your wellbeing was always first.
I got my open water certificate at this school and was very happy with my experience. Theo and Sven are true professionals and prioritize student's comfort and safety above all. I needed extra time to learn how to relax underwater and was given the opportunity to space out the sessions. I never felt rushed or pressured, which has made me confident underwater. Pickup and drop-off were on time, the lunch was delicious, and the team was fantastic. Chilling out by the pool and sipping iced tea between dives was a great bonus.
The place and diving instructors are amazing! We did three dives and we felt very well taken care of. They take time to ensure proper safety measures are taken and teach you tricks to improve your diving performance.The room was daily cleaned and the staff was very attentive. Definitely recommend for a stay and for diving!
